It...Man I am glad we don't live any further north. It got down to 8 degrees F here despite the weatherman calling for near 0. The coldest this winter was still that one freak day in December. The wind yesterday was terrible, with 60 mph guests. Our barn isn't so warm inside but I am so thankful that we are able to bring our two in on nights like this. We lost power for most of the day yesterday through today and all of our buckets and troughs froze solid. Luckily no ice too thick that that a 5 lb sledge can't fix. We thought we were going to freeze to death in the house last night and I think the horses' biggest concern was they missed their radio show. I agree they can weather it fine but no need to if they don't have to. We had a couple trees down that I had to cleanup today.

Tommie needs to do a video on how to make your horse drag brush TO the brush pile instead of out of it!! Pretty good idea on the website name for his video on the dog training. I was hoping to see a video of Mavrick fetching a beer, but only pictures (hint hint). Well, if this works for Dr. Pepper I'm sold. :-) Stay warm and just keep thinking warmer days are ahead! Our mare started shedding already so she agrees.Matt Jenkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11337851168801189352noreply@blogger.com
